Neighbours - Channel 5

This Aussie soap used to be the chill out programme after a hard day's work and commuting. For the past few months, however, it has been all too much about babies and parenthood. Is that really their target audience because it never used to be. Most people my age don't want to come home to that. And I certainly don't find screaming babies on tv a relaxant.
My other gripe about this programme is the increasingly poor script. I feel sorry for the actors that have to work twice as hard to pull it off. It is even harder, however, for me the viewer to listen to such rubbish one liners. In the UK ratings are down, to the point that the omnibus Sunday edition of Neighbours on Channel 5* was pulled in November 2012. Quelle domage, but who can blame the tv bosses. For them it is about the ratings. For us the viewers is about quality scripts and acting.
Well, team Neighbours, back to the drawing board till you improve on writing the script or sacking a few slackers. What ever you do, this soap that has been going for decades mustn't be allowed to become so bad that it is killed off totally.
