Meteor strike: Fireball from space - Channel 4

Channel 4 seems to be the best at producing really amazing documentaries, and this one is about the recent meteor to hit earth. We are in a unique age in which technology allows us to increase our understanding of our planet in the cosmos. The documentary shows brilliant footage of the meteorite thanks to so many people having filmed it as it came into our atmosphere. These are now being studied by scientists and then they have a race to get hold of pieces of the meteorite for analysis before ordinary folk find them to sell on eBay.
My only bug bear is that this documentary isn't longer than the usual sixty minutes.

Neighbours - Channel 5

This Aussie soap used to be the chill out programme after a hard day's work and commuting. For the past few months, however, it has been all too much about babies and parenthood. Is that really their target audience because it never used to be. Most people my age don't want to come home to that. And I certainly don't find screaming babies on tv a relaxant.
My other gripe about this programme is the increasingly poor script. I feel sorry for the actors that have to work twice as hard to pull it off. It is even harder, however, for me the viewer to listen to such rubbish one liners. In the UK ratings are down, to the point that the omnibus Sunday edition of Neighbours on Channel 5* was pulled in November 2012. Quelle domage, but who can blame the tv bosses. For them it is about the ratings. For us the viewers is about quality scripts and acting.
Well, team Neighbours, back to the drawing board till you improve on writing the script or sacking a few slackers. What ever you do, this soap that has been going for decades mustn't be allowed to become so bad that it is killed off totally.

Radio

Some talk on radio is necessary of course, like news, traffic news, weather and name of song & singer etc. It's the monkey chatter I take offense to and find boring or annoying. Given the choice of hearing a human voice or hearing music, I would choose music every time. If you have a digital radio you can program your favourite stations in and switch between them at the press of a button. I use that method a lot, sometimes every few minutes to avoid the monkey. No offense intended to monkeys.

Radio in the 21st Century

I must be the only person in the UK that wants to hear music, and music alone, when I switch on the radio. I mean, I don't want to listen to the constant chatter of the host / dj. I just want some MUSIC! There are radio stations specifically for chat but there are no stations, it seems, specifically for music. I can't tell you how frustrating it can be to hear inane talking when all I want is any kind of music. I could rant about this like an angry spewing volcano because I feel so strongly about it. It seems that 21st century humans just won't stop talking, not even when they're on air and publically talking utter rubbish.
